How come? every time I try, it says page cannot be displayed
 and the news and updates are all blank

It is a server issue and not specific to you. I can't either. It should be back up soon.

There have been issues surrounding the main site. Northman is continuing to work on them, but we may need a miracle for something to happen soon.
