Turks or mongols being any steppe tribe in world history which is still a nomadic tribe and not settled down tribes like Avars, late khitans, late mongols.late ottoman turks etc.

For all you turkomans out there ,would like your opinion please,

OH AND PLEASE DO NOT INLCUDE Steppe armies as their enemies, for example Mongols vs Mamelukes.

you are wrong, steppe doesnt mean just turkic. as i pointed out in the central asia thread, iranic peoples also roamed these areas.

scythians were not turkomans, and turkomans is not a loose word, it refers to a turkic tribe.

White huns were destroyed by gok toruks , Sasanids occupied land without fighting because they were allies. But yes sasanids gain victory against Goktoruks, without any impact to them.

Yep, it is true that Gokturks allied with Sassanids to defeat Ephtalites(White Huns)...Later on, according to Byzantine sources, Gokturks allied with the Byzantines against Sassanides..Interesting turn of tide, ha?

Allied with Byzantines against Sassanids, so that means, fought with Sassanids, but not in a major scale.

it should be noted that the majority of the soldiers in the byzantine army were not roman. they were germanic. the same with the western roman empire.
