I like the Arthurian Legend, and must admit that the King Arthur is the reason why I love to study the Medieval Europe history.
But I'm a bit confuse now after realise that the existance of King Arthur is not as clear as the other historical figure. How could people know Julius Caesar and believe that he was exist but confuse with Arthur's existance? how could the writing of a 12th century historian not credible enough to determined the truth of England History around the 5th to 6th century? Or... is the Monk not a real historian and just write a fake one to please his liege? |
