About the designer:
Mahla Zamani, an Iranian woman living in Iran, has a Master's Degree in Banking and Finance from the United Kingdom. She has simultaneously graduated from Pitman Institute of Design and Interior Decoration in UK.
Ms. Zamani has worked as the General Manager of Golvare Gallery in Tehran, She studied Iran's tribal art works for eight years. She has also invested 10 years of research and study to adapt modern fashion with traditional Iranian and Islamic clothing for woman. This study has resulted in a series of thirty books entitled: "Encyclopedia of Clothing in Iran's History and its Global Impact." Ms. Zamani has organized five successful live fashion shows in Iran since 2000. She has also published the quarterly "Lotus", the first fashion Journal in Iran.

These pix are from Lotus-journal.com via bia2.com.

So did Iranian women actually were head-coverings that way or did she just add that beacuse...well you know?

Yes very beautiful and attractive, I prefer it to short skirts and clothing that doesn't leave much to the imagination. Very classy.

No, I mean revealing "Western" clothing, basically clothes that make a girl look like a tramp.

I really like this new style, it is a breath of fresh air.
