Why would Israel or Canada be there (or even N.Korea, even with nukes)? I voted for the US, i don't think it needs an explanation :D

Israel, Canada, and North Korea? Also Japan, ever since WWII, is not powerful just more economic. I'd probably say America because well no other nation is that close, second I'd say Russia because it is making progress and it's military power is still stronger then China's.

The USA is the sole superpower today. Both economically, politically and militarily. The US really should not be overlooked in the political arena since it has clout over a series of countries catering to her needs.

China has yet to establish a world leading role. China has the potential though.

Russia is trying to reassert her preivous dominating status. She is still a power.

The rest do not deserve to be in the same tier, imho.

lol! Feanor I assume you agree with my assumption. All relatively strong countries in their own right but not as dominant compared to the leaders.

I voted for the USA. See Seko's post for reasons.

Has it already been moved to the correct area, Deano? If not, where would you like it?

I hear the Gaspacho is really good in Spain, especially the tomato version. Mmmm!

Maybe you could hire red clay as Minister of Agriculture.

If China tried to invade Siberia the Russians would be in there so fast the Chinese wouldn't have a prayer.

Russia can protect itself as long as it has the massive nuclear weapons arsenal second to the US only.

Compare to the 20 million Russian people living in Siberia and the 250 million Chinese people just down the border... its quite an overwhelming force and not to mention the large Chinese military bases in Manchuria.

It doesen't matter, the Russian forces can mobilize so quickly and bomb Chinese routes heading to Siberia in such a hurry that China would be knocked out fairly early.

First of all...no!

Second of all if I make Red Clay Minister of Agriculture I would have to remind him it is not a fancy title for people who have green thumbs!

Quote Sarmat12 - Russia can protect itself as long as it has the massive nuclear weapons arsenal second to the US only.

Considering the total number of warheads, Russia is the first, not second.
