Good question. I suspect not, but I don't know? I wouldn't call the Dorsets pre-Eskimo, rather pre-Inuit. Even though the "Eskimo" term is considered invalid by many, it is sometimes used as an umbrella term for all those people, including Inuits, Inupiat, Yupik and perhaps Aleuts and those Sirenikski speakers I wrote about. So, if the Dorsets, or pre-Dorsets were the same as the ancestors of the Aleuts or the Sirenikski, they may be considered paleo-Eskimos. Unfortunately, "Eskimo" is considered derogatory by some of the people, but I wonder if there's any alternative term?

Princess Taiping wasn't the first junk to sail to the Americas. It's been done before by the junk Keying during the 19th century.
