Hello ladies and gentleman.
This is my little place on the web where I get to share my inner thoughts unadulterated from incredulous opinions and critical rebuttals. Stay tuned for blogging of the intimate kind in the near future.

Well here goes nothing! My first blog entry.
- Ever wonder why we call warm days in fall an 'Indian Summer'? I'm sure there exists a lot of speculation surrounding its origins. Maybe scientists can cut the seasons down to two. 'European Winter' would be the other one.
- Poking inside the $700 billion dollar bailout last week one could find a source of good in the US and that is the Mental Health Parity Bill. After 12 hard fought years in congress this bit of legislation was passed in both the House and the Senate and recently signed by President Bush. Now health insurance companies will have to provide the same benefits for mental health treatment (and cut down on the high copays) as they do for other ailments.
- Good to know that our aspiring leaders have some form of higher education. Obama - Juris Doctor from Harvard, Biden - Juris Doctor from Syracuse, John McCain - Bachelor of Science at the Naval Academy, Sarah Palin - 5 different colleges for her Bachelor of Science.
That's it for now. More to come when the weather cools down. Edited by Seko - 09-Oct-2008 at 20:26 |

Sure things are going good lately with numerous NBA, WNBA, NHL and College championships but it wasn't always that way.
Being a local sports fanatic has its ups and downs. For long stretches of time the average Detroit fan had to weather through the Dead Wings before four recent Stanley cups came to Hockey Town. Back in the day a slogan for the Tiger's was, 'Sock it to me' and that was when they were winning. The Lions? Well, the name says it all doesn't it?
...and one other thing. Is it too late for the Wolverines to hire Les Miles?
