I find the plaques very interesting in a history of a people.
There were the 10 tombs of the culture of Vila Nova de São Pedro. Could these be the 10 Kings of Plato `s Atlantis that Muju had suggested? In my opinion their desendants then ruled the city of Tartesso that disapeared. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:VNSP.gif The engraved plaques of Late Neolithic and Copper Age Iberia have long intrigued scholars since the 19th century. This paper develops two models to explain the nature of the plaques’ iconography and distribution. First, explored the close parallels between the design on the plaques and textile weaves. Second, develop and tested the hypothesis that the plaques were heraldic and that they recorded lineage affiliation and genealogical distance from an important ancestor. http://www.ipa.min-cultura.pt/pubs/RPA/v5n2/folder/135.pdf Edited by docyabut - 28-May-2009 at 12:56 |

I find the plagues could be in connection to chiefly lines, not all people were buried with them and the reproduction center was in Vila Nova De Sao Pedro.

Similer to a Egyptian panel from the front of this mummy coffin. All four panels are registers within a border decorated with a checkered and triangle motif, and burial rights from their ancestral gods.
