Post some pictures of pastoral landscapes from your native country (IE, drumlins etc., not wide open plains) I should probably take a few pictures of my own but here is a picture of the drumlins in my native county. The entire county is like this:

You're right, the entire country is like this. Beautiful scenery, framed with litter for good measure! Once, the pastoral was an escape from the realities of life and a medium for exploring life's 'purer' values, now it's a few fields with a broken umbrella in the foreground. Oh, the pangs...

Most of this country is either forest or water, but some areas have lands that could be called pastoral (no drumlins though, in the geological sense of the word). In particular Öland is one of those areas (pics from www.bildbank.oland.com/

Sweden is a country with a varied pletora of sceneries. Here the pastoral landscape meets the sea on the island of Orust, on the west coast:

Personally I feel the broken umbrella adds to the picture. Shoes Celtic Ireland in all of its slothful wrath ![]() |

I loved driving through the Palouse country, named after an Indian tribe, because in the spring with the range land and wheat farms it was a pastoral landscape. At one time there were huge herds of Rocky Mountain elk but they were forced into the mountains. I would go there on the way to or from Walla Walla and I loved the wide open speces with only a few scattered farm houses.

Well then, brothers and fellow citizens and soldiers, remember this in order that your memorial, your fame and freedom will be eternal.
