Ohayo Some-san! hajime mashite.

Beorna do you know any good online source for learning Japenese. Currently, I am working on characters, but I have learned a lit Japanese by reading Romaji Japanese. Can you read hiragana and Katakana? I guess kanji Characters are the most difficult part, What do you think?

No, sorry. When I learned Japanese we just had booksWink.
I never tried to learn in the www.
Once I could read Hirakana and Katakana and even about 200 Kanji. But if you don't use it, you loose it. Today I can just tell you what sign belongs to what writing. Cry

Oh, I forgot your last question. If we, as Europeans or people of the Orient, look on the signs they seem to be complicated. But there is a system of special minor signs (I forgot the special expression) that appear in the signs and make it much easier to read and to differ them.

I came across a source about learning any language not too long ago which seemed a great way to get started (I don't know which level it adds up to).

Maybe you guys will find it interesting too. It's completely free.
