Hello all. I just finished reading Christopher Allmand's wonderful essay in the collection _Writing War: Medieval Literary Responses to Warfare_ on medieval and early modern translations of Vegetius. In his contributor's biography at the beginning of the book, it says that Dr. Allmand is working on a book-length study of medieval reception of Vegetius. Does anyone know if this book is near completion and if it will be published in the near future? I am very excited to read it. Thanks. - Jeremy

The article is about how Vegetius was translated and received in the European Medieval world.

I think I read that one if I remember correctly DE RE MILITARTI was carried and used by hundreds of historical figures pretty cool and I remember this one guy who said that if a trained knight read DE RE he was ready to lead men
