That would be very nice. Currently, I think, the step from reading something in the magazine to commenting on it in the forum is quite big for most. Especially when it concerns an article written some time ago. It would be interesting to see direct comments or suggestions with the articles themselves. And that way the authors can respond to clarify their goals or points of view if needed.

One of my goals is to open a web page so that I can publish (online) some articles on tank technology.  Ideally, each article would have its own little thread on the forum for comments and discussion, and the article itself would link to this thread.  Perhaps each article published in future issues of the magazine can have this link - a link which could be up for one or two months, and then taken off (although the thread would still exist).  That way it would allow for criticism right after the article is published.

Catalan, talk to Northman. I believe that if you'd agree and he would also, there's a possiblity of creating an AE subdomain which you could edit as you wished. Northman had a similar idea a while ago on a different topic.

Well, for now I plan to write on the topic for AE - I just have to find a historic background.  One of the next ones will be on the T-55, but the article on the Panzer IV wasn't as good as I would have liked it to be, and so I'm looking for more sources to make it a much better paper (on the T-55 Enigma).  Most of the discussion will center on 'bulging armor', so it will be more technical than anything else.

I just have to search for motivation.  I have a history of starting out well and then ending poorly, due to the lack of motivation to finish things.

Don't worry. I'll see those things as history since those tanks existed then and most probably are rather extinct by today. So keep on going even if it isn't exact history... :D

Oh, and I'd look forward to an article on Maus I or II...

I second rider on your articles on tanks idea Catalan.  Especially the german and soviet tanks.  For what its worth, you have my support in your endeavor.
